I watched the floods down in the Valley
from the safety of the hills.
It was harsh and hard and nasty without any
pretty hills.

My memory walked along the pathway

Floods!

I watched the floods down in the Valley
from the safety of the hills.
It was harsh and hard and nasty without any
pretty hills.
The rain poured on the country and the
had some breaks.
The people ran before the waters-to hide for safety's sake.
Our own roads were full of pot holes
with rocks and other things
But in looking at the valley and
the problems that flood brings
I'll watch that problem from afar!
And stay away from where they are.
May the Lord have mercy on those washed out farms,
and keep those people from serious harm.
And when the day comes and the flood goes away.
May the land bloom one more as in better days.
