Catherine Lindsey Poems

Early morning rain
Pitter - Patter
Pitter - Patter
Before the light of day
...

They say that Earth is a school
and there are lessons to be learned
but only one has obsessed my Soul
the rest fall short of the goal.
...

On nights like this,
God breathes the universe into being,
With his every breath.
Sustaining us.
...

I've heard every line
Heard it all before
every reason for the distance
why no one walks my shores.
...

They call me Collapsar.
I shine like a billion, trillion suns.
I birth black holes when stars implode
the strongest force the universe knows.
...

Mine is not a world of dreams
lest I dream of just July
with a heart filled to the brim with Spring
beneath a Summer sky.
...

I have been a flower
picked and held until it died,
and I have been a moon beam
shining in the night.
...

A paramount flame enraptures to rule,
unearthing the spicy array of my senses,
the reverie of Spring cautiously subdued,
the syncopated beat, three steps beyond pretentious.
...

If I could command the moon and sun
to stand still for just one hour,
and freeze time, immortal in that span,
I would hold you in my arms forever.
...

Kissing the stars in the night
see them there, how they shine
reflecting the beauty of the skies
navagating my path by night.
...

IT'S HARD AS STEEL
AND TOO COLD TO SNOW
LOCKED WITHIN THESE WALLS
OF FLESH AND BLOOD.
...

Oh my Love,
Love this wanderer who knows not
that tomorrow follows today
still swallowed up in a whale of darkness
...

I walked along the sands of time,
Near the water's edge life defined,
Storms that raged in a haggard Soul
Sprays that whispered of more to know.
...

In his eyes I am more than I am,
but someday I hope to be,
more glorious than he imagined,
splendid and blended perfectly.
...

Come into my life,
Oh Great Unknown,
nourish my forlorn heart,
welcome to my home.
...

Would be my love come late
or never come at all
would be my guilty fate
to miss his heart felt call.
...

I can be anywhere I want to be,
See through any eyes I want to see,
I can dance in the heavens and vibrate
And blossom and unfold,
...

I am not this body I wear,
I am not the thoughts I share,
I am not limited in any way,
I can't be bound in prisions
...

Early Morning Rain

Early morning rain
Pitter - Patter
Pitter - Patter
Before the light of day
Pitter - Patter
Pitter - Patter
In a world of blue
and a lighter shade of gray
Pitter - Patter
Pitter - Patter
Watching the water play
on the surface of the bay
Pitter - Patter
Pitter - Patter
Listening to the tune
of the early morning rain
Pitter - Patter
Pitter - Patter.
