Cathryn Martin Poems
Dream A While With Me
I dream of rainbows, Bright in the sky, I dream of lightning, together we cry, I dream of flowers, I feel such delight,
I See You
I see you face in the clouds above, Your presence is in the wind, I can feel you there behind me, With your hand on my shoulder
Dreaming is a gift, At least that’s what I think, Dreams about sweets and chocolate, About swimming in a sink,
I Have A Dream
I have a dream, That one day we’ll be, Joined as one family, Just you and me.
Work Hard, Play Harder
Work seems to be mandatory, For people like me, Slaving over books at school, Just to get the grades,
Prowling through the forest at night, Always giving the neighbours a fright, Never ventring into the city, The 'nature lovers' think him pretty,
Was I Dreaming?
Angels watched as I lay sleeping, Giving me pictures, I started dreaming, Then from high on heaven above, I started dreaming of a dove,
Falling Into That Beautiful Thing Called...
Ridiculous, inconvenient, consuming, can't-live-without-each-other love. Attraction, flirtation, euphoria, doubt, the truth (I don't know why I want you but I really do) .
In the English language, We have just one word for love, But there are many more,
The man I once loved, he left me, He went off with someone new, Said he would forget me, And I should forget too.
I Want To Keep Dreaming
I dream when it’s night, I dream when it’s day, I dream of what I once did, I dream of what I will say.
I Dream Of
I dream of a world, A beautiful place, With flowers and butterflies, Hatred gone without a trace.
Lover's spiffs are natural, They happen all the time, Just over the little things, Childish quarrels really.
Suddenly I'm Shy
Ripples spread accross the pond, As summer passes by, Children's boats go bobbing along, And suddenly I'm shy.

Dream A While With Me
I dream of rainbows, Bright in the sky,
I dream of lightning, together we cry,
I dream of flowers, I feel such delight,
I dream of spiders, and I scream with fright,
I dream of fish, swimming in the sea,
I dream of sharks, coming after me,
I dream of lambs, frolicking around,
I dream of wolves, Hunting, no sound,
I dream of children, several of them ours,
I dream of them waking, Being up for hours,
Stay with me forever and together we’ll cope,
Because when I dream of you, I dream of hope,
Dream awhile with me and together ...
