Heading into a curve
I know I can't take,
hit the brakes,
feel my life swap ends...
...

This moon owns the night...
a moon that's full,
a moon that pulls
not just salty oceans

Sharp Curves

Heading into a curve
I know I can't take,
hit the brakes,
feel my life swap ends...
then I accelerate as I slide
toward the edge
of this twisting, gravel road.

Bushes slap my grill
as I dodge the trees,
and the sun slants
right into my eyes;
no matter what direction I take,
seems I am always driving
half-blind.

Down-shift, counter-steer,
white line runs between
fear and hope;
coming into view,
another sloping hill...

And I can feel the wheels
dig in and try to hold tight
as I fight the windshield glare
and the fearful force
of unmapped choices-
darting and daring me
to dodge and aim
for a fast-moving dream.
