My mama says they’re healthy.

I’m to lick me plate clean.

The World Of Lost And Found

I wondered where my friend wandered.
I looked everywhere but where I needed to.
In the world of lost and found,
She sat tapping her foot and twirling her hair.
You’ve come at last!
What took you so long?
Did you forget about me or
Didn’t know that I wasn’t there only on one fine day?
I held my peace for I didn’t know the answer.
I shrugged and picked up from where I thought we’d left.
And it was a thing of past.

I pondered where I had squandered it all away.
The money that was earned with sweat,
Was spent like it flowed in a river.
My ponderings led me to the grounds of lost and found.
There it squatted like a discarded rag.
With accusing eyes, it seem to say-
You didn’t understand me but overarched your credit.
I warned and warned but you were deaf to it all;
So I stole away in the dead of the night,
Silently like the thief that I wasn’t.
And it was the waste that I found to my distaste.

I thought over where I had let it go,
But couldn’t find an answer.
Searched and searched but couldn’t find it hidden anywhere.
Stumbled on it by accident.
You’ve found me but too late.
I’ve been here in plain sight
But you lost all the right.
You didn’t consider me your-health, as your wealth;
And chose to let it wither away.
Was your vocation, pleasure and pressure worth my loss?
You didn’t care and neither did I, and so it was of no loss.

The world of lost and found
Harbours many things unfound.
One wonders where and how we’d lost them,
But the answers that we seek,
Are not found in the world of lost and found.
If you want the answers,
Then ask yourselves the right questions.
If you still have the false notions,
Then shed them fast or
Take the road to the world of lost and found...
... often.
