testing the hands of fate

kissing your lips

We fuss and we fight
and it never turns out right.

We cry and we scream

I fight to keep the peace
I fight to keep you with me
I fight to make this work,
but like sand in my fingers it slips.

You told me forever and left me to cry
on my knees I am begging to give up and die.

You promised forever and let it all go

Silent tear streaked faces
stare off into space
waiting for the return
of his smiling face.

Secrets hidden behind my mask.
Harder to control the wrath.
