How hard it is to give someone your heart
They determine what they want to do with your love
You are at your most vulnerable
Your scared
But you believe
You believe that they understand your love
Your love is precious
Something to fight for
Go to battle and be his shield
Be his shield and he'll be your sword
And when you're both bloodied and exhausted
Your love will satiate and satisfy you both
Understand that love is selfless
Love is encouraging and uplifting
It's the boost you need when your feet is dragging
It's a reminder that despite everything
You are not alone
Not anymore
You can go through anything
And no matter what
You'll be his shield and he will be your sword
