Heartbreaker

I fell in love with you right from the start,
I had no way of knowing you had stolen my heart.
All I wanted was for you to notice me,
But all you cared about was if I was pretty.
Everybody always told me you weren't worth it,
I didn't care, not one little bit.
Everyday I came to school,
Hoping to see you, so wonderful.
After a while I couldn't get you out of my head,
I thought about you all the time, even when I was in bed.
In my dreams you were always there,
Everywhere I went, you were always there.
When I saw your face, it made me smile,
For you I would have walked a thousand miles.
I wanted to tell you, I wanted to show you,
Just how much I really loved you.
Then one day I took my head out of the clouds,
And realized I should have listened to the crowds.
I was wrong and they were right,
Tho' I tried with all my might.
I finally figured out who you were,
Not a lover, but a heartbreaker.
