War Poem (Short)

The day has come for me to finally depart.
I say goodbye to my family and show love with my heart.
My father shakes my hand and tells me it's right.
Soon after my mother tells me that it isn't my fight.
She falls in my arms and prays for me to be protected.
But only if I had knew that her prayer was rejected.
She tells me that we may be sadly apart,
But I am always here *Pointing at my heart*.
I leave my family with their tears and despair.
Questions' circling my head asking is this really fair?
