Sometimes, praise like moonbeams
Shower our writer's paths with rays
That touch our many reached-for dreams
And refresh our rather routine days.

I've reached this age when I can read
Through words, a speaker's portrait.
For words reveal the truth and lead
To what appearances negate.

Boxing is a sport we like to watch
A bout of strong men fighting like men.
It is exciting when it's a good match
Where the best man wins fair and even.

From someone who should have loved you.
But he just beat your poor body at will,
