Day At The Skate Park

Surrounded with concrete
Determination in the air
Guys pushing wood
Can't help but stare
One falls
One lands
One ready to go
But all the way across
One matters the most
That guy that I watch
Means so very much to me
He knows just what to say
To get me back on my feet
A genuine heart
Both simple and complex
A one of a kind
As good as it gets
I watch him go
Slight stumble
Then fall
Hope he's okay
But keep watching it all
Dont get sick of observing
Can feel the intensity in their steps
But too soon my time comes
Hadn't even noticed the sun set
It hurts to say goodbye
Would stay all day if I only could
But departure is obliged
And you'll be leaving soon too
A shared hug
Brief but cherished
Marks the end of a joyous day
But there's plenty to come
And I dont mind a little wait
