To My Son

You are mesmerizingly beautiful
So that I can’t take my eyes off you
I see your face where ever I look
And all roads take me to you
let go of this mortal world
That’s as heavy as a cannonball
And as hollow as a bubble.

Let go of the roads
stretched like a whip on the back of earth
Let go of the tunnels with no light at their end
Let go of the bridges incapable of transcending the earth
Let go of the perplexed sky
When the bloody tear spill over twilight’s cheek
Let go of the fortune star
That may have burned out a million years ago
Though tonight, you still see its twinkling.

Lie beside me
Like roads stretched longer than man’s life.
I’ve a lot sweet words to say
So sweet that I sometimes tempt to swallow back
Before they reach my mouth from heart.

And your drunk eyes
Oh, your homesick eyes
Do not torment you, but they kill me.

Break your silence and say something
Love me non-stop
And never put an end to the flow of your dreams
You will learn one day not far from today
The life of smile is as long as a bud’s yawn
Withering before reaching from out heart to mouth

One day you will learn that
Our heart is nothing but a mass grave of our untold cravings
On that day, you will learn that lie is a truth in itself
You are still a baby forgetting even
The dearest things you lose
But you will grow up
And get frightened by any separation, even from the most hateful things
And your tomorrow would be spent lamenting for yesterday
So, fly non-stop over my head
Heaven be the roof of your room,
Peel the sun orange,
Squeeze the moon’s lemon into your tea,
Take candy from the dew-soft clouds,
Or make mattresses and quilts from them–it doesn’t matter-
Keep on flying above my head by dawn
Since morrow midnights
You will remain sleepless, confused
Trying to interpret the paresthesia of your sleeping legs.

Keep on loving, keep on
Now a kiss cuts your pain
But, you will grow one day
And your pain will start from a kiss.
Fly free of any claim
Though, being claimless is the biggest claim itself.
We all remain children throughout our life
We are all before realizing the first truth, the truth of death
We are children, young and old men
Foolish enough to pretend to be mature
Learn how to love
Learn that one and one always makes one
And one minus two
Leaves nothing but zero forever.

Remain in lover forever
Don’t trade your life
For something less valuable than a kiss
Remain in love forever my darling
As even the most pleasant life is nothing more than a catastrophe
You will learn that
The last word
Always come out of a rifle’s month
You will learn whole-heartedly
When you completely understand
That those suffering from hunger
Will never be fed
Unless they are fed up with their lives.

You will found out
The only fault of the hanged poet
Was a confessing tongue, after a torture
Always remain in love my dear
The earth is heavier than a cannonball
And lighter than a bubble with trembling eyes
Beauty lies in keeping on living deliberately.

My declining crescent does not frighten me
Since my resurrection is your full moon

I don’t care at all
That the sand of my hourglass
Is nearing to its end flow to fill your cup

Forget about life
Just live it
We don’t care about the heartbreak of tulip
Or the hunched neck of the viola
Who cares whether or not the lily grew from Eve’s tear
We have nothing to do with analyzing the beauty
Amazing is enough for us
Amazing at the immortality of a Rose flower
With a life as short as a yawn
So, learn how to love him with enthusiasm to recreate the beauty
So, still remain in love my darling
