Daniel Lloyd Kennedy Poems
Retirement is the end of work, That's what some seem to say, But I have talked to many more, Who say it's not that way.
Fish have many pretty colors, they live beneath the waves Some fish seem to swim in schools while others live in caves
Life Will Go On
When we were young our lives were new Our shared romance and dreams they grew Till that fateful day did come and finally the song was sung But, Life Went On
Love Me Once Forever
I dream of nothing else, I live for nothing less The love I've always fostered, A love you don't request My love for you grows stronger, Each day that passes by I long to be beside you, If not I'll surely die
A Measure Of Love
Love is measured, in many ways, But never to the extent, that it portrays, My love for you, has no bounds, Like the sands, on a beach are found.
Mother dear I love you so Each day I'll love you more But words alone cannot explain The love I feel right now
A Fire Begins... (1)
Can you feel the soft warm feeling, inside as you embrace That special something deep inside, that rushes to your face Maybe it just brightens your soul, or whispers in your ear This man loves you more than you know, listen closely my dear
A Dense Gray Fog
To those who are trying to make sense of their life's choices A dense, gray fog rolled in last night At first it seemed an awful fright
A View Of Sunset
A sunset lasts forever, but only in the mind, Its' colors are of many hues, and vary to sublime, Light will fade and take away, all the colors worth, When the skies escaping brilliance, falls away to earth.
Heart pounding in lovers embrace, Holding you tightly face to face,
A Love To Have And Hold
Once upon a love my dear, had fallen by the side Then, dear God returned to me, my love again be tried
A Path In The Snow
In cold dark night it came from sky, no longer holding back, It slowly drifted to the earth, this cold and wet attack,
This Thing Called Time
To: The One, I will spend the rest of time and eternity with. Time can be an enemy, yet sometimes be a friend, There is a time that we all grow, and then a time we mend,
I long to hold, and tenderly kiss you, To hold you close, so not to lose you, To feel your hair, brush gently my face, Your soft warm skin, in lovers embrace.

Retirement is the end of work,
That's what some seem to say,
But I have talked to many more,
Who say it's not that way.
It only means you've left one place,
An now must find another,
For all that money you should get,
Is feeding someones brother.
So now that you are finished here,
We would like to say,
We're going to miss your smiling face,
And all those special ways.
You've taught us how you did so well,
And made it fun to learn,
But don't forget to call some times,
One day you might return.
