A Soldier's Silence

Look at me
Look at you
Their's a difference between me and you
Just because I stand in a line
Always ready to leave on a dime
my life may not be so fine
And well i guess i'm running out of time

So when I go
and stand for all of thoughs who do not care
all of this is way to unfair
then again I'm a soldier
with a arm to bear

Day after day I stand for the fray
yet my life is still very gray
A gun in my hand and I still stand
Holding my riffle to the sky
now im ready to die

Why did you laugh at me
when i stood for my country
why didn't you cry
when i said good bye
so that was your answer when they took my life
shot down and done
I'm no longer ready to die

So try and greave
over what you've done to me
so say good bye
