With every happy heart,
there is a broken one
in need of repair somewhere.
One that holds only sorrow

The tarnished leaves of autumn
leave the trees lying bare.
Like skeletons reaching out
pointing skyward stare.

To all my special friends
and especially to one in particular
who knows who they are.

Today my Lord I come to you
and within your eyes I hope to find
what all mankind seeks
that of peace of mind.

I’ve walked near waves
where fishermen have cast their nets.
I’ve walked through thorns
that have cut and scratched.

Not a day goes by
without me thinking of you,
I turn around to have a word,
then remember your not there.

In our life we do many things,
some are funny, some are sad,
some we regret and leave us
wondering if could have done more
...

There is a young woman,
who lives so far away from me;
if she lived closer,
I could give her a big hug.
...

Every night I pray to God
for him my soul to keep,
that he will bathe me with his light
and wisdom every night.
...

Why do we abuse our bodies,
when we are young,
with alcohol, cigarettes, drugs,
and eating too much food?
