David Thomas (US)
Biography of David Thomas
My name is David and I started writing for projects in school. I took a shining to poetry, free form in particular. I admire Edgar Allen Poe, William Wordsworth, Walt Whitman, and many others. I don't focus much when I put pen to paper, I let my brain give me the words and they always come out alright. I know poetry isn't for everyone, but I do hope that at least some of my poems are able to brighten someone's day or make someone's point, or anything. After all, poetry is really just me passing things my soul has done onto you.

Dream of Flight
it was just raining
pourring and pourring,
yet my soul
saught free,
so i ran to the street
the lightning struck near
and sent me flying
now i can fly,
i'm up away and gone.
