Life moves fast,
Like cars in the H.O.V, lane.
Speeding, speeding with reckless intent.
It’s a crowded hallway,
...

This time it's so much more,

and I can honestly say I haven't done it before.

The Abyss

Life moves fast,
Like cars in the H.O.V, lane.
Speeding, speeding with reckless intent.
It’s a crowded hallway,
Pushing and shoving you into better things.
But yet sometimes, life trips you.
And sends you spiraling
Into the bottomless abyss we call luck.

Good luck, Bad luck,
Luck unnoticed, and luck forever lasting.
Luck determines legacy.
Legacy determines a death.
Not a death of your external heart,
A death of the heart within; your soul.

A soul that is your essence.
Your essence going back into legacy.
A never ending cycle.
A cycle we live and we polish.
And hopefully never to be tarnished,
By hastiness made in the fast lane.

Made by cuts underneath the skin,
Black marks of sin.
Made from repeated discrepancies.
Cuts which can be healed
Healed by good deeds seen only by the blind.
Deeds done on the spur.
Not for the fame, but for the heart.
Not for the front page story,
It’s for the internal glory.

The glory only recognized after death.
The glory we live for, strive for, and deeply inhale.
