Dark kohl - lined eyes, hidden in thick half framed glasses;
Neatly tucked to the right, those wavy, lustrous tresses;
Floral attire, semi casual style, enough was it to raise a shiver;
Glossy lips, and flashy smile, put the final arrow from the quiver.
...

Later I did, speak out my heart,
Little did I know that it'd be ripped apart.
Carried myself, an heavy heart, a broken soul,
Dragged it along to put it down the hole.
...

I lay on the lap of the open skies,
The darkness of night, covering my face;
The wintry winds kiss my half-closed eyes,
The shimmering moon feels smiling with grace.

Venus, Personified….

Dark kohl - lined eyes, hidden in thick half framed glasses;
Neatly tucked to the right, those wavy, lustrous tresses;
Floral attire, semi casual style, enough was it to raise a shiver;
Glossy lips, and flashy smile, put the final arrow from the quiver.

No picture, not even a portrait, would have had me sufficed;
Hence I had you portrayed, through my humane eyes.
I see you, my eyes closed, or looking up the vast open sky;
Only to open them, searching for you, and hear the hollow heart cry.

The rains drizzled, the soft winds breezed;
I walked by your side, my heart, quenched and squeezed.
Heavily the rains poured, then again held up;
Almost in symphony, with my heart missing a pump.

The rains, somehow, camouflaged my tears,
The proximity, at times, was too painful to bear.
The closeness was short lived, I knew all the while,
Savoured it, saturated it; Till we meet next time.

I pulled the chair, I made her sit,
Over a scrumptious lunch, the lights dim lit.
We shared the food, and so the drink,
Emotions, running high, tripping, were on the brink.

She talked, she laughed; Pushed her locks with glee,
The subtle nuances, momentary smiles; I lost myself completely.
Tranced I was, into her own world; Craving to making it my own,
Wept my heart, cried my soul; For I felt this all alone.

We walked the streets, that wound its way,
We talked our hearts, all it had to say.
Everything, though, I cannot say; Something, still, was missing,
All through I wanted to say, but alas, was that one beautiful thing.
