The dewdrops cling with steadfast resolve.

As if knowing once let loose all is gone.

Deborah Harvey Biography

Hello fellow poets and readers of poetry. First and foremost, I am a single parent to four amazing children. I have no formal writing training (so please be gentle in your criticisms lol) . I have degrees in Art History and Anthropology, and feel a profound affinity to nature. Although not a religious person, I do consider myself spiritual. When I write, all of these experiences and characteristics comprise my inspiration. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes subconsciously, my poetry is multi-faceted and if everyone who reads my words can take something from them, then I feel as if I have succeeded as a writer. Welcome to my world. :))

Shivering within those concave shells...

As if in fear.

Afraid of no longer being.

Tears trace erratic tracks,

molding to the planes of my face.

Streams of emotional fluidity,

Futility.

And they cling...
