i am cocooned

The night is far spent
There are but a few moments before dawn
And the black night

A distant thunder

How far can life's lightning reach
And how long can i taste

Take each step toe over toe
Whatch your chest

Its the opposite of pride
Its humility
When thunder sounds
And man's reply is

i walk in the same footsteps

i sit here crying
And if i knew why
Id might make a difference

The days of old
Can be made new
