Back In The Day

We both know something’s begun
When I saw you, you were always the one
Sitting by your side, my face lights up like the sun
The love of my life I’ve met, but I’m just not done

It started way back, and I remember how
When she walked through the doors, I was like ‘wow’
Got that look from the dad, you know the one with a frown
Made eye contact for a sec, gorgeous brown

To see her again I didn’t think it was possible,
Saw her the 1st day back, thought I had to go hospital
Cus the thing we had, I thought that we lost it all
I’ll treat you with diamonds and rings, but it’s like mission impossible

Hopefully one day you’ll see what you meant to me
cus you and me, we were meant to be
but thats how you feel and its plain to see
I guess its how the song goes, 'Only love can set you free'

All the lads just think it’s a crush
Then they find out its serious
They see what I see in your eyes
You’re just so mysterious

I was standin there lookin, with my heart beating fast
Looked in your eyes, and I think of the past
Think bout the times we had, and the times shared
Don’t think about anyone but you, it’s for you that I care
