Deepa Thomas Poems

I am a night traveler
Travel all through the night
And my bed is a sailing boat
I reach for my bed every night
...

God created us like a blank paper
More white than milk
More pure than rain
...

Alone in that desolate cemetery
Not a single soul around
Near the grave with a marble angel
Laden with a bunch of roses
...

Another day paving the way
For night to reign
Fading away slowly
Never to return again
...

5.

Let a thousand miles come between us
I can still feel your love
Warmth of your breath
Safeness of your arms
...

When silence can talk
And communicate in volumes
Can words express more?
...

Dark, Mysterious eyes,
Holding a hundred untold secrets
In their hidden depths
Gazed, deep into mine
...

A lonely bird
Talked to me one day
About life, about love
About loss, about gain
...

Sitting on your regular park bench
Watching the people around
Deep in your own thoughts
Smiling occasionally
...

Sometimes words loose meaning
Like on this grim and depressing night
Today even my own image
Expunge me with renewed dread
...

What makes you superior?
Or makes your neighbor inferior?
Is it the colour of skin,
Hair or blood?
...

Like a lit candle in the bright sunlight
Like a tear dropp in the vast ocean
Like a sand grain in an endless dessert
Like a musical note in a concert
...

Like the feel of bare foot
On the wet grass,
Like the scent of mud
After that summer rain,
...

He asked: “Why do you love me,
Even when I hurt you?
Even when I have nothing to offer?
Even when world is against us? ”
...

15.

Things Change
All on a sudden without waiting for you or me
And what remains
Is just a hand full of memories
...

I sit here alone on this windowsill,
Watching the raindrops fall
And doing its tap dance
Like endless tears of sky above.
...

I knew not that image of yours
Nor ever can see that face,
Which your mirror prefers to reflect,
Which does not resemble you
...

18.

People are not alike
Even if the colour of skin is same
Even if the colour of hair is same
And they speak in same language
...

Sometimes silence is so loud and strange
And can be heard across a thousand miles
May be rain can hide those tears for a while
Which keep flowing without any constraints
...

My heart is broken beyond all fix
You can attempt to make it alright
But give me time to pick the pieces
May be time will heal the wounds!

The Best Poem Of Deepa Thomas

Night Traveler

I am a night traveler
Travel all through the night
And my bed is a sailing boat
I reach for my bed every night
And take a trip places far away
To see new things and people

I travel past the harbors
Full of anchored boats
I travel past the beaches
With swaying coconut trees

I watch the waves
Embracing the shore
I watch the kids playing
And reach out my arms

Then I touch my own bed
Here comes a flash
And my boat is back
And I am back in bed

My boat sails every night
And reach home with morning light
Never did it anchor once
Still traveling every day
Hoping to reach
That unknown destination
