Demon Eastoe Poems

It's tail fanned out behind it,
It's mane flew out like a flag,
It's eyes glinted in the half light
as down the road it ran.
...

Fire roars past chalk white teeth,
with origins from caverns deep,
Where prey is overcome,
With the Heart's beat.
...

The horse galloped over the sand,
running in the sea,
Frolicking and playing,
for as long as time could be,
...

Over the red hills we soar
On a midnight ride
Not really going anywhere
Finding somewhere to hide
...

The bird takes off
Water droplets fall from her wings
I imagine her flying many miles
Whatever the weather may bring
...

Rachael Smith is an annoying kid
She's really short but her mind is big
She dreams of horses with wings and horns
And dragons that can breathe fire when born.
...

Chilli and Charlie come round the bend,
Kicking up sand;
and then,
...

The dragon raised his head,
and sang,
a joyful sound to hear,
He sung of his history,
...

'Twas the night before Christmas,
When all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring,
Not even a mouse.
...

10.

If I had any horse I wanted,
He would be a grey,
And he would be called Titan,
And he'd follow me every day.
...

I am one with the horse,
The horse is one with me,
I know when he is feeling trapped,
And when he's wild and free.
...

Their Tails beat the water,
As they swim past,
In a mass of squeaking rubber,
Thats moving oh so fast.
...

Have you ever sailed oceans vast,
Where things are out of place?
Where dreams and music fill your head,
Then leave without a trace?

The Night Carriage

It's tail fanned out behind it,
It's mane flew out like a flag,
It's eyes glinted in the half light
as down the road it ran.

It's fur was a blanket of shadows
that coated this horse of night,
Where it trod there was darkness,
and where it trod there was light.

The carriage it pulled was just as dark,
made of black metal and wood,
The carriage is hidden from mortal eyes,
until beside it you stood.

The driver was all but a mystery,
standing up on the roof,
guiding the horse with a twitch of the reins,
taming those wild hoofs.

And off it goes...
Into the sunlight...
Shining...
like a beacon.
