and climbs moon-washed stones

with time
on my hands,

we rise
and fall
together

is too dangerous
and too arduous
for one so old

Forever let me love you,
though seasons we are apart,

though roses scent your summer,

It was the lowering,
the creaking descent
into that gaping hollow
of icey earth
...

We danced 'till dawn had seen the end,
Of evening's rain, and only then
Did we make our way
Down cobbled streets
...

Ten months
I've been unmanned
By this white
Swirl of desolation.

From a high window
Through dusty air

A finger of light
...

What can stop this waterfall?
What can quiet the thundering power
that descends to punish impertinent rocks
and quicken spectral mists rising above the tumult?
