and the sad thing is, it’s to these masks we try to compare
no wonder in the face of such beautiful lies some despair.

We dance solely for others to see,
every step in that glittering room down to a tee,
ever hoping, no one sees us shifting through the debris.

While feigning life, it just rolls on past without a wave,
to appearance we have become no more then a salve,
always telling our selves when and how to behave,
we wear it to our grave,
that beautifully ugly mask we tried so hard to save.
