I touched your scent
in my dreams last night.
I fell into your eyes.
What beauty beheld me

I make no demands

I take what you offer and
know there’s more of what I got.

I Touched Your Scent

I touched your scent
in my dreams last night.
I fell into your eyes.
What beauty beheld me
from the other side.
What marvels there to feast upon.
Silence fell in the depths of a man.
Earthly tones I don’t understand.

Looking out instead of in,
I saw what’s been seen from both ends.
Where laughter lies in the
blueness of his eyes,
so joy lives in shades of brown.

I awoke from my dream
peering into my soul
when blue eyes looked back at me.
A heart opened wide,
for inside another must reside.
Blue eyes would suit
me fine in reality’s share.

I touched your scent
in my dreams last night.
I fell into your eyes.
