You give your best you can
To every other man,
For though God made all well,
This world at times seems hell!

Extended one through undue affection,
That happened all in my work-spot alone –
But that which turned almost a contagion!

Dear dad, I think of you today with joy;
You’re my role-model when I was a boy;
Your wisdom, knowledge filled my heart with awe;
Justice and fairness were things you stood for.

Leave the wild beasts in the wilderness
Do not intrude their space
Let forests be home to wild animals
Do not deforest the earth

Beside the mother, safe, secure,
The baby gets to know the world,
By watching everything, she does,
And learns to walk and talk like her.

What seems a happy family to
The world is not quite true at all;
What seems a smile upon a face
Has sordid stories underneath.
...

Recite the rosary and see the change
Of mind and heart and soul, freed off all sin,
And meditate upon the mysteries strange
That flash the Word of God, as grace we win.
...

Well, go abroad to study higher up;
To learn, you cross all frontiers and all seas;
To gain more knowledge, gulp from bitter cup;
To up your ken, you ought to work like bees.

I want to lead an honest life divine;
Rewards, awards, God gives me in course due;
I work for glory that is God’s, not mine;
His Book of Life records all things I do.

A hamlet tranquil, picturesque,
Quite high above the sea;
With pastures green, where cattle graze
Is where my house is built.
