...without kind hearted wife
is agony!

வாழ்க்கையின் ராஜபாட் டையில் நான்பல
ஆண்டு களுக்குமுன் நடந்து போகையில்
சொர்க்கத் தின்'பல சரக்கு பண்டக
சாலை' பெயர்ப்பல கைகண் டேனே!
...

புல்லாங் குழலினில் வாசித்துப் பழகும்
யானையைப் பார்த்ததாக
அவன்மிக நினைத்தான்;
அவன்மீண்டும் பார்த்தான்; ஆனால்
...

The dignity of not denying the desire of persons
…who reached you with an intention
of getting something from you is pleasant!
...

One has to eat,
The food which is bitter as last;
The food which is sweet is eaten first;
...

The girl who wears garland of honey-filled
…flowers and dignified ornaments!

If you think aloud and consider, the old ghee
...

It is so pleasant to learn, even it needed to beg,
It is still more pleasant if the learnt education
provides hand in the learned audience - the words..
...

He came, attracted my heart and left away!
What he gave me was nothing but aspersions
among the village community!
...

In a meagre two days,
Even tomorrow too
becomes yesterday!
