A Thousand Stars

I gaze up at the sky
and I see a thousand stars.
I wish one would come down
and take me away.

I have made mistakes I wish were erased,
mistakes I cannot take back.
I have hurt ones that should not have been hurt
so i wish the stars would just take me away.

A thousand stars up in the night sky,
they look down on me like angels watching me.
They would shake their heads in disapprovement
as they watch me make my mistakes.

However they just shine upon as if to give me a sign,
a sign of forgiveness and a sign of belief.
I shouldn't let mistakes cowd over me
I should just cover them with a good deed.
