They dance as moonlit breath wisps through the room.
Wax melting, candle flares in darkness deep,
Then finally surrenders to the gloom.

The candle flickers making shadows leap;
They dance as moonlit breath wisps through the room.
Wax melting, candle flares in darkness deep,
Then finally surrenders to the gloom.

The sun of night, the shining orb will rise
Past mountains to bring night’s glow to the land.
The midnight sun, this beauty of the skies;
This light commands the poet’s ink stained hand.

The silver globe shines out in space above;
Kept company by twinkling pricks of light.
We look to night and stop to think and love
Without the shining sun that glows so bright.
