Ms Elizabeth Grieco should be the poet laureate of the short verse; the unpretentious verse and for writing poetry with the minimum of fog and maximum of clarity

My poems are a microcosim of the world that God has granted me, through my birth, on planet earth.
I give thanks to all of our Lord's gifts, through my writings of poetry and prose. I hope you enjoy my poems.

Concrete Jungle

Hunched over a garbage pail,
A beggar chews scraps of bread.
The city the never sleeps,
Swallows souls that can't eat.

Frigid night, as wind sweeps
Across city's howling streets,
Festive spirit crushed beneath
Soles of the passer-by,
