Ellowyne Forester Poems

1.

I am a bird, light and graceful.
I am a dream, pushing myself to burst into life.
I am a legend, blooming into a story.
I am a teardrop, withering in temporary distress and then dissolving.
...

This is reality
Dying grass and wilting flowers that freeze and crack in the winter
And us breaking like glass
Shattering into millions of peices onto the asphalt, into the earth
...

Nobody tried to pry this dark, rich secret from the depths of my soul
Nobody suspected a single thing but you
After I told you
After she told you.
...

Countless times failure has seduced me and brought me
to my knees, quivering and overcome with inhuman exhaustion.
My shallow breathing has halted me in my tracks, flashing
multicolored lights behind my eyes and a pulsing drum in my head.
...

Accompanied by her virile angel, she
fell into a blissful ocean that washed gently over her
cream tinged skin and her pallid angelic face
as the famished vastness of her heart spread wings
...

There is more love in me for you
Than there are grains of sand on every beach.
My tender heart is famished for your hushed affection.
Shadows dance across your pale, flawless face
...

Don't fly away
For if you do
I will forever be broken.
Don't die away
...
