Eric Ripley Poems

I can hear the wolves
Howl in the distance
The howl is suddenly
Dampened by the falling snow
...

They twinkle brightly
Drifting around lightly
All above the moon
Darting around like a coon
...

The sands of life slowly drain away
And as this happens, I do not fray
Life is a ticking time bomb
Waiting to take you with a boom
...

The way I feel
The way I am treated
The way people see me
I am different
...

As my eyes guide me
Through this cold and damp world
I have only one desire
It is a tree of which branches
...

The moon shines upon us
Only without any fuss
Life slips to grey
And soon we will pay
...

Then moon runs red
Blood has been spilt
Death has taken his place
Among the bodies
...

I am missing something
Something vital in life
Something that everyone has but me
As i sit
...

As the bells ring
Throughout the night
The knights blade
Swiftly Slicing
...

Snow Wolves

I can hear the wolves
Howl in the distance
The howl is suddenly
Dampened by the falling snow
In a clearing
I see the wolves howl
Perched on the slanted rock
They cry to the moon
The moon cries back
It cries with agony
It cries because of death
Death witnessed beneath it's glow
The wolves turn and howl
The snow doesn't let up
But blows harder
Through blind panic
i run
I hear the wolves howl
Only it isn't in the distance
