I love every poem I have read of yours. An amazing poet, just amazing and you have just begun. Poets like yourself make this site completely worthwhile, keep on writing.

You write as if your soul is a thousand years old and full of the pain, joy and emotion of centuries. When I grow up I want to write like this!

Erica Francis is my hero! And that is not a title I throw around lightly...or at all for that matter.

So much talent already and she's yet to even hit her prime. Watch out.

My Husband

It is true:
My husband
has never
taken out
the garbage
from our little house
in the suburbs.

My husband
has never
taken our children
out for the night
to trick-or-treating
as I sit
on the porch in a witch hat.

My husband
has never
come home from
a long day
to a special meal
I have prepared
just for him.

My husband
has never
told me he loves me
beside a warm fire
on our honeymoon.

But he will.

I Want To Taste

I want to taste
the spot just below
your ear,
your jaw stops.

And then
I'll work my way
around to your lips,

so I can taste
the sweet words
that are still basking
in the warmth
that is your tounge.
