Erik Christiansen Poems

For a time I have known a woman
for all time I will not know
she wears a mask of courage, red
a cape of pride, blue
...

The whole experience glows red
in the room the curtains
the fire in the place
the chair
...

Well, I'm kryptonite after all
I've defeated her
broken down that wall of indignance
of comparisons
...

And Love is a story
which ends in Graves
how fitting then
her zombie tattoo
...

I, a soldier
a one man army of the union
of testosterone and passion
I am dangerous
...

As fog clears
fog of dogma
of self-centeredness
of disallusions
...

The bricks are so cold
so numerous
so many
you could pave a road
...

The Best Poem Of Erik Christiansen

Superwoman?

For a time I have known a woman
for all time I will not know
she wears a mask of courage, red
a cape of pride, blue
a suit of white deliberation and capability
form a forcfeild super human
Ah, superwoman
capable of leaping tall buildings single bound
and forgetting men instantaneously
you can't recall when
your mask, cape, white-suit hit the floor
and human
flesh met flesh, briefly, fleetingly
I do recall
call me krypotonite
or building tall.
