ready for Christmas? , to decorate the tree,

A soft, whispering breeze, stirs the leaves on the trees,
And then suddenly, a gust, lifts the dry settled dust,
Things start moving about, and now there's no doubt,
That a storm's on the way, coming in from the bay.

Please tread softly as you pass my heart,
For wounded souls are sensitive to sorrow,
And need the solace of a peaceful calm,
To mend the grief and start a new tomorrow.

A sculpture so beautifully designed,
Becomes a pleasure to the mind,
In colours of yellow, red and brown,
Wearing a true autumnal gown.

What is above all these chimneys, I asked the young lad,
The chimney sweep boy replied,
Why Sir, it's the sky which is sometimes so blue,
That when I look up and glance at the view,

The railings were old and rusty,
The door paint was faded and chipped,
The poor old house had seen better days,
The roof, made of slate, had now dipped.

Freedom beckons me

What Birthday Card, for him, can I acquire,
An ordinary one is not what he'd desire,
Perhaps it needs a 'funny' joke,

And seem so frosty blue,
