The night my soul, the devil took.
The tear stained pillow, the shattered dream,
The broken promises, the piercing scream.

In the dark of the night I start to sweat
Tossing and turning, hiding from the nightmares I just met
I try to remember that this is no longer real
But in the deep of the nightmare I begin to feel.

Whispers of my sanity blowing in the breeze,
Running from my heart, ignoring my pleas.
Questioning my mind, my heart, my soul,
Emptying out my dark, deep hole.

One heart breaks as one heart mends
One friendship lasts as one slowly ends
One set of eyes cry millions of tears
One person admits all of their fears
