Time.
Equally fast as it is slow.
Like the promise of a new day it comes and goes like the ebb and flow of the ocean.
Too often fast and fleeting.
At times a lifetime, an aeon, an eternity.
As cruel as it is kind.
As joyous as it is painful
Never enough or never ending
Like love it cannot be measured.
It is ever changing.
Like the seasons.
Like moods.
Like life itself.
It holds promises but at times they are distant, a memory, unobtainable now.
Here, today, time is cruel and an enemy.
Here, today, whilst i sit alone in darkness.
Here, today, i hope for time to pass.
Here, today, time stands still.
