Farnood Jahangiri Poems

You and I
Neither’s ready
To meet.
...

When I observed you going,
Passing from the gate,
I fancied no drying
To the blooming misery.
...

When I put the ring in your frail finger,
Mark my shaking hand despite your steady mien,
And don’t cross your eyes on mine:
They look afraid to death.
...

How come you’ve chased the worst of men in kind,
Whose approbate with animals compete.
And mercilessly his grace to me remind:
“He has painted me in pieces of sheet”
...

Rabbits run to the forest
Jumping, leaping and hopping
I ask them “Where you head to? ”;
They say they’re going shopping
...

When I observe the world’s severity;
How it devours blood of hearts of men;
When friends of mine lose their society
With no further chance of praying Amen,
...

Love is a dangerous place
Worse than terrorist spots,
Where concrete heads do fall
And passion has no chance to dream.
...

Flow like the Nile
Over
My barren body
Cover it all
...

Once you came to me
And tricked me to give in
And you started to dig up
My land and you found
...

Up Jordan leave our father
Leave him see us from there
Coz now we are free
...

Wandering alone on the desert
Hungry, thirsty and tired
I saw a genie approaching
Summoned by someone dead
...

He watches her on TV each night
marvelling at her dignity
With emerald eyes and golden hair
He cries out “what a beauty! ”
...

Do not be surprised seeing me listening to the songs
Of violence and crime beating with carnal fires
Do not be disturbed of my joy as their audience cheers
Which are all able to move my whole organs.
...

If we love each other,
We have to love the world
But knowing the size of your heart,
I know you can’t afford
...

We both look for beauty
We cannot find it though
Coz I search it in you
And you in what I do;
...

How long I tried to escape
From that avenger, not be named!
How much I bothered my puzzled mind
To solve a Riddle left untamed!
...

We were a band of swimmers
Forced to swim along,
With each other hand in hand
As if a throng.
...

My wit calls out “I want a way to come! ”
It does demand a way to pierce my heart;
Heart says, “This kingdom wants no heathendom.”
...

Over two pans of a scale
We sit calm as thought,
My weight levels yours
in concern and love,
...

Barren frozen lands like wastelands of Mars;
The Godforsaken Sun sends its useless heat;
And you wait advent of more distant stars
For your birth to send a greeting deceit.

The Best Poem Of Farnood Jahangiri

You And I

You and I
Neither’s ready
To meet.

Still the clouds sing melodiously
They rain, they move, they are.

Still the sun protects our verdant souls
It shines, it moves, it is.

Still man, is satisfied to be
He prays, he slaughters, but not us yet.

You and I
Neither’s ready
To meet.
