Brothers

I see them at first,
In the airport,
Almost crying,
Tears of joy.

My family talking,
At the dinner table,
Chitter Chatter,
My brothers burping away,
Even though not half a plate have they eaten,
Scared to grow fat they say.

I taste such beautiful stake in Ramadan,
Can't wait to eat more,
My mouth drooling as all the chocolate smears over my face,
Drips over my chin as warm as sweat,
The Crunchy, Chilly, Chips,
Enters my mouth then leaves to the inside,
Just like how my brothers will do one day.

Once we are all free,
We can play catch and catch,
That is the best memory that I remember the best,
Every single part of it,
Picturing again and again,
I just can't forget it,
I cannot ever forget anything about the games,
We used to play.

The fresh smelling fragrant that my brothers put,
I can still remember the scent of when they go to the mosque,
They smell so fresh,
So new,
So sweet,
I can't forget that scent.

In the airport,
The whooshes and swooshes of planes,
Just want to hear that they are sitting in the plane,
Happy,
Safe,
And sound.

Once they reach their destination,
I cry once more in my bed,
Where nobody's there,
Then I cry and take out the pain,
Until December,
When I am in the airport,
Then I have a smile on my face,
Everything turns dull once I'm out of my dreams.

Then…
They leave so quickly,
Like wind has pushed the days,
Tears as sweet as sugar running down my cheeks,
As I hug them last.

Now I'm leaving,
Going to Canada,
I see them at first,
In the airport,
Almost crying,
Tears of joy…
