Having a wedding coming up and wanted to see if there was a poem that described love as a universal message across cultures, religions, and / or ideologies. We are having a multi-cultural wedding and I feel that a poem like the above would be very good addition.

Even tho this poem doesn't make any particular reference to those subjects, I think that Shakespeare's Sonnet 116 describes love in a lovely way. The first lines say:
" Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds..."
I think it encompass what love is really about. Here is the link: http://www.shakespeare-online.com/sonnets/116.html
