when we poets are writing our poems
we are not thinking straight

we are slow and meandering
like a lava stream

Sometime when I write ideas just come to my mind. It's not slow at all. It's more like a crack of lightning to the head, if you know what I mean.

Kori, you make a good point. ideas can’t stand confinement, can they? like gadflies they have to be out there and within earshot of an audience. thanks for your input paul
