Any poem has to grab me and hold me, whatever the length. The mood, the images the conveyed meaningmust combine to intrigue or excite. Thr rhyme is just a tool in the tool box which can be used (or not) to build the mood or the images.

    I believe in rhyme. Although my rhymes are not used, they control the page. The insanity rules and my rhymes are not tools.

    Greg you could have Not been more accurate. A poem has to seize you. It is an explosive reaction, but does not get violent and destructive, it changes, it reaches in far deep, than, any thought, and emotion, any feel. And that is the power of a poem written for you.
