My poem 'COMA' in both ITALIAN & ENGLISH versions:

    Coma - - - - http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/coma-26/

. «I shall remember while the light lasts
. And in the darkness I shall not forget»
    . ['Non-Catholic' Cemetery, Rome: headstone 2515]

    Aspetta solo
    Che lo stormire delle foglie
    Scacci i pensieri più reconditi
    E liberi la mente prigioniera.

    Come una farfalla avvolta nelle
    Tremolanti ombre del crepuscolo
Brama la luce per alzarsi in volo,
Lei confida nelle tenebre più folte
    Per unirsi finalmente
    Alla comunità dei morti.

Lasciandosi dietro forse la promessa che,
    Una volta accolta
    Nel buio, non dimenticherà.

    COMA ___ [ English ] - - - - http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/coma-english/

. « I shall remember while the light lasts
. And in the darkness I shall not forget »
    . ['Non-Catholic' Cemetery, Rome: headstone 2515]

    Unable to
    Enlighten the twilight between consciousness
    And unconsciousness
    She lives aside the despair
Of those attending - Just like
    Her own.

What can only be discerned from outside
Is an imperceptible blink of an eye
That occasionally displays and then disappears,
    While those who remain wonder
If a flicker of consciousness still exists.

    Just waiting for
The rustling of the leaves to
    Drive out the innermost thoughts
And set free the imprisoned mind,

Like a butterfly wrapped in the
    Flickering shadows of dusk
Yearns for light to take off,
    She confides in absolute darkness
    To eventually join
    The community of the dead.

    Leaving perhaps a promise behind,
    That once accepted
Into the dark, she will not forget.

    Hello,
I'm planning, together with other poets, to publish a poetry e-book (antology) .

We would like to have a few more poets in our group. Possibly from different parts of the world.

At least 50% of the poetry has to be new (not already posted on web-sites) .

If of interest, write a message to me. Thank you

    P.S.: it's a no-cost-publishing.

I've added 2 more poems (both texts: English and Italian) :

    1. 'WRANGELL - St. ELIAS' : http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/wrangell-st-elias-english-version/

    2. 'WATER MUSIC, I. _ ['Musiche sull'Acqua'.1]' : http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/water-music-i-musiche-sull-acqua-1/

What's about the story they tell?

    - - 'WRANGELL - St. ELIAS'

    - It's about Nature.. Travelling through Canada (British Columbia, Yukon, North-West Territories) and Alaska..
    - And about a psychological status..
    - The psychological point is my constant pursuit of a contrast (a contraposition - and somehow a conflict) between the subject's inner world and the real world - outside of the subject's mind..

    - - 'WATER MUSIC, I.' (*)

    - 'It was a cool, clear October night, in Hungary. Year 1983: more than 32 years ago…' - ['nézte a csillagokat' = gazing at the stars]
    - (*) after Georg Friedrich Händel's ‘WATER MUSIC'.

    Hi!

I've posted 6 English poems along with their Italian version.

For those who can read Italian: I'd like to know (may I ask?) which version -English/Italian- you prefer (if any..)

    - - - ENGLISH - - - // - - - ITALIAN - - -

    1. Nocturnal Snowing // Nevicata Notturna,

    2. Tenderness // Tenerezza,

    3. Beyond // Oltre,

    4. You & I // Tu & Io,

    5. Fried Green Spinach // Spinaci Verdi Fritti,

    6. Sesquipedalia verba // Parole sesquipedali.

    *******************************
Here is one of the 6 poems: (both English and ITALIAN versions) :
    *******************************

    BEYOND

    Go beyond the past.
    Go beyond the present..

Will you love me when night
    Falls and nordic winds blow
    All those drunken eyes out?

    When those cleansed people
    Wandering through other times
    And places, look around aimlessly
In search of some remains of
What was once their soul —And
    We too, among them?

Will you love me when the house
We can't find anymore, quietly sink
    In other people's world?

    Alas,
Our hearts won't heal in small dreams.

Regretfully, we can't help but go on.

    Oltre [ 'Beyond' ]

    Lasciarsi alle spalle il passato.
    Andare oltre il presente..

    Mi amerai ancora quando calerà
La notte e i venti dal nord spazzeranno
    Via tutti quegli occhi ubriachi?

    Quelque chose
    à l'intérieur de moi
    veut crier
    JE T'AIME

    mais les souvenirs
    de rejets dernières
    me hantent
    parce qu'ils me disent que
    j' aurais le cœur brisé!
    mais, cela ne change pas
    le fait que;
    JE T'AIME ENCORE!

    Il y a une guerre
    à l'intérieur de moi
    qui n'est pas encore fini
    et, si tu sais suelement
    le nombre de
    nuits blanches que
j'avais eu en peasant de toi
tu vas te rendres compte que
    JE T'AIME BIEN!

    Je me rends compte que
    le lâche dans tout cela,
    ce est moi, parce que,
tu ne pourrais jamais deviner comment, je me ressens
    pour toi car j'ai gardé
mon amour pour toi en silence,
    mais, ce que je voulais
    que tu saches c'est;
    JE T'AIME

    THE WAR INSIDE ME

    Something
    inside me
    wants to scream
    I LOVE YOU

    But memories
of past rejections haunt me because they tell me that
I'll end up with a broken heart! but it doesn't change
    the fact that;
    I STILL LOVE YOU!

    There is a war
    going on inside me
    that is not yet finished
    and, If you only knew
    the number of sleepless nights
I have had thinking about you
    you would realize that:
    I REALLY LOVE YOU!

    I realize that
    the coward in all this
    is me,
because, you would never guess how i feel about you
    because i have kept
    my love for you silent
but, what I would like you to know is:
    I lOVE YOU

In the morning, the house smells of coffee,
And in general all is well,
I just miss you very much, so
that a hunger sucks bones like in hell,

By the morning I slept with you,
Clinging to my knees with a yearn..
    autumn flared outside the window,
and broke out a gloomy dawn.

    Tagore Song

    (The Unlimited in Limited Forms)

    Oh my “limitless” beloved
How do you play this game?
    Bounded in “limited” forms!
    In copious color, copious smells
    In myriad music and dances!
    To fulfill your magical mission?
    Unlimited posing as limited!

    Oh my Formless, beloved
    Just looking at your animation
Makes my heart dance in trance
    That’s why your sweet company
    Keeps me blissful all along!

If you and I commune together
Cosmic gates open in my front
    And limitless ethereal waves
Makes me reel by my universe

    Your shadow-less singular light
    Made mind-body-shade in me
Letting me taste the pure music
    Forever in your best company!

Translated on 12/12/14 by Tushar Ray to convey the unique theme of Tagore's Song written in Bengali. However, the tender Bengali wording with soothing musical sound, carrying the unique theme can never be conveyed in a translation.

This singular song was composed, tuned and originally sung by Poet Rabindranath Tagore, the 1913 Nobel Prize winner in Literature. This song is one the jeweled collection in his book, " Geetanjali" (meaning a musical Offering to God) where each song is unique by its own right. All his songs were intoned and sung by Tagore himself, each having appropriate classical Ragas to convey the deepest meaning to listeners. About Ragas, there are a total of six Ragas and thirty six Raginis in Indian classical music; the varieties within each Raga are known as Raginis

" Tanto gentile e tanto onesta pare
la donna mia, quand'ella altrui saluta,
    ch'ogne lingua devèn, tremando, muta,
e li occhi no l'ardiscon di guardare.

    Ella si va, sentendosi laudare,
    benignamente d'umiltà vestuta,
e par che sia una cosa venuta
da cielo in terra a miracol mostrare.

Mostrasi sì piacente a chi la mira
che dà per li occhi una dolcezza al core,
    che 'ntender no la può chi no la prova;

e par che de la sua labbia si mova
    un spirito soave pien d'amore,
che va dicendo a l'anima: Sospira."
    Dante Alighieri

i don't think there is a good translation to this but i thought thi sonnet deserved to be in this site, who understand the italaian language will appreciate
