Blue-black
Mestizo feet
like Jesus' sandaled feet.

for tea? Love birds
smiled by, hand in
hand, pock-marked morenos;
Anglos were sad at the brothel door
nearby. Water-
lilies walking,
picked in Xochimilco
where we know the floating flowers
