The praises of celebrities he never does sing
He lives in his own way and does his own thing
He is never seen in the club rooms of the local football club
And he drinks on his own when he is in the pub
...

So you feel you are one of life's losers and time it is not on your side
And that you are often short of money does not do anything for your pride
But it should be a consolation to you though compared to many poor you well may be
There are many financially poorer than you are who know of extreme poverty
...

They came into life by the mountain and were born in their mothers pain
And they lived and loved and raised their children by the mountain those of them who by the mountain did choose to remain
Some choose to leave their first home by the mountain and grow old in cities far away
But the mountain remains in their memories and they do think of it every day
...

I may be in my early seventies but I learn of life every day
And of life we never stop learning we learn as we live true to say
Life for us does have many lessons and it is humbling for to realize
That despite our accumulated knowledge we know little and this should not be a surprise
...

A saying that has fact and fact never lie
Those who live by the gun by the gun often die
Few violent criminals of old age breathe their last
Death comes to them young painful, violent and fast
...

No doubt Ireland's four Nobel Prize winners for literature were literary greats
Joyce, Beckett and Heaney and W B Yeats
Such beauty in their lifetimes in their words they did create
As World class writers with the best they does rate
...

Though for their spot in glory many of them a huge price they did pay
The men who went to fight in wars are remembered today
Many of them died bravely in battles where the gunfire was loud
And some of them returned as living war heroes they had done their Country proud
...

So charming young and beautiful with lovely eyes of brown
And wavy raven hair to her shoulders the pride of Cobden Town
Many of the single young men of Cobden have fallen for her in a big way
But she has plans to travel and in Cobden will not stay
...

Their warbling flute like music so beautiful to hear
The famed Australian magpies sing every day of the year
Black and white crow sized songsters they seem to love to sing
Unlike most other songbirds who only sing in Spring
