When time indeed flies
When the sun circles the day
Fading into the night

As the tears roll down my weary face
Red from the duration of pain I suffered
I blink to visualise my bearings
Through watery eyes I see as best as I can

Sweet nothings like a leaf caught in a drift
Swaying elegantly in the breeze on a beautiful day
I absorbed the sound that then cycled in my mind
In turn my body cycled to the words she would say
...

Here I shed, a lonely tear
Layered with hate, topped with fear
It trickles down, my soft skin with ease
Holding on, for life it seems
...

A thief in the dark
You came along and stole my heart from me but it was ok
I didn't complain
We lowered our weapons, my heart my mind and my soul
