Tied Up In Knots

Tied up in knots,
Unable to unravel,
Starting to slip through,
Tied up in knots,
Still in love with you.

Bullshit that sounds “nice”,
Meaningless,
Knots that wont be unravelled,
Add another loop,
O’ just to be free of you.

Pretending to mean it,
Believing your own discriminations,
At the time you say them at least,
Losing yourself in an attempt to be someone else,
I’m just sat here accepting you.

Nails broken from picking at the knots,
Ropes that bond me forever to you,
Life gets scary and I yern to flee,
Adult emotions in a teenage mind,
Tied up in knots with no escape
