Geeti Sudha Poems

Once I set out for a walk
to experience the beauty of nature,
to feel the presence
of the great ocean to a simple creature.
...

The bright sun has gone
and the moon has arrived,
its only me who knows
how these days i have survived
...

It hurts,
When I cry but there is no one to see.
It hurts,
When someone is rude to me.

Walking Through The Village Road

Once I set out for a walk
to experience the beauty of nature,
to feel the presence
of the great ocean to a simple creature.

I walked through the muddy roads
and through the fields green,
looking at the huts
admiring the village scene.

I felt the rushing rivers
and their heart soothing flow,
I felt the dancing rain
that sings a joyful strain.

The swinging of the branches
the blossoming of flower,
the wait of the farmers
for a heavy shower.

The huge vast grasslands
where the children play,
I saw the potters
busy with their pots of clay.

The soft cool breeze
that swims with calmness and with ease,
the chirping of the birds
the grazing of the cattle herds.

Group of people near fire wood
warming their body up,
women wearing a hood
serving tea in the earthen cup.

I was away from the world of noise
away from pollution of the city,
away from the merciless place
to somewhere where people had sympathy and pity.

Once I set out for a walk
to get rid of the brain's load,
to feel the real beauty of nature
walking through the village road.
