Dear Mom

Dear Mom
When I was broken you were there for me
When I was down you brought me up
And now it’s hard to believe
That your gone

Dad was so cruel
Why couldn’t it be me?
Who got beaten
Who was made to bleed

I know you were scared
I hated to see you cry
And now that you are gone
I feel I should die

For I could have done more
I could have said don’t
But I hid in the corner
And didn’t come out

I heard all the screams
The cries and the pleas
I felt all the pain
I felt I wanted to bleed

Don’t say a word
But I didn’t know
All I wanted was for it to be over

But that is the past
And this is thenow
I am 15
8 years from home

I know you’re gone
With dad
And it seems my life
The one pick on

I’ll see you soon
Mom.
